No Smoking Policy
On 1st July the Health Act 2007 comes into force in England. This Act states that all enclosed public buildings and work places must be smoke free.
From the 1st June the hotel will be slowly changing all of its bedrooms to no smoking status. By the 1st July the entire hotel will be a no smoking area. This incorporates the hotel bar, restaurant, lounge, conference and function rooms as well as all bedrooms. Smoking will only be permitted in the gardens, patio and other outdoor areas.
We are bound by law to enforce this policy. Individual smokers as well as the hotel are liable for on the spot fines as well as further legal action if this legislation is not adherred to.
